A retro-futuristic crime thriller inspired by the music and aesthetic of Kraftwerk and what they stand for.

Blending contemporary concerns with Kraftwerk’s late 1970s/early 1980s aesthetic, our series, KRAFTWERK is a parable of the dangers of becoming overly reliant on technology. A story which offers hope for a more analogue world where Man and Machine can harmonise for a better future.

In the world of this series, our lives have been taken over by algorithms. Humanity is living its best, most efficient, machine-driven life, in pixelated echo chambers across the country. The drive is to be more effective, but in doing so, people unknowingly give up their own agency, and allow their lives to be run by technology. Society has become soulless.

What has been lost? What if our future power and energy security lies in some forgotten analogue and tangible machine-based knowledge?

We are heading for a crisis and no one seems to be in control. Can we rediscover and harness the right man-machine equilibrium?
