A sophisticated and filmic retro take on the beloved cop show. The Mallorca Files will launch on BBC1 and iPlayer on Monday 25 November 2019.

Set on the picturesque island of Mallorca the series see s pair of mis-matched cops, the ordered, ambitious, analytical and introvert British DC Miranda Blake, and the extrovert, instinctive, chaotic and enthusiastic German cop, DX Max Winter, fighting over different styles to solving crimes among the international community on the island.

The 10 x 45’ series is created and written by Dan Sefton (Trust Me, Good Karma Hospital, Delicious, Porters) and stars Elen Rhys and Julian Looman in the lead roles with Maria Fernandez-Ache playing the reluctant yet fiery chief of Spanish police to whom they report.

Produced by Dominic Barlow (Discovery of Witches, Selfridge) and directed by Bryn Huggins (Endeavour, Black Mirror and the film Electricity).
