Int’l nets open The Mallorca Files
UK producer BBC Studios’ new crime drama The Mallorca Files (10×45’) has been pre-sold into multiple territories ahead of Mipcom.
Coproduced by Ben Donald’s Cosmopolitan Pictures and Clerkenwell Films for BBC Daytime/iPlayer, the series has been sold into New Zealand (TVNZ), Czech Republic (Prima), Japan (AXN Mystery), Finland (YLE), Denmark (TV2), Norway (TV2) and Sweden (SVT).
Audiences in North America, Germany and France can already access the series as a result of coproduction partnerships with BritBox, ZDFneo and France Télévisions respectively.
BBC First channels across Benelux, Africa and Poland will also be carrying the series.
The Mallorca Files features two seemingly mismatched British and German detectives tackling crimes on the Spanish island of Mallorca.
